IKG4017 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the IKG4017 cable within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. The cable is designed to carry motor phase current together with auxiliary control lines, allowing one assembly to serve both the drive inverter and related control circuits. Its total-shield construction attenuates radiated noise so that adjacent feedback or fieldbus wiring can operate without induced errors in tightly packed drag-chain installations. This layout also reduces the number of separate cables that must be routed through moving machine sections, which helps keep cable paths orderly and reduces congestion where space is limited.

The cable is a Motor Power Cable (Total Shield), so four power conductors and two twisted control pairs are wrapped in a common braid and foil. Each power conductor has a cross-section of 4x1.0 mm², while each control core measures 2x(2x0.75) mm². The assembly withstands a phase potential of 300/500 V and has an outside diameter of 12.0 mm with a tolerance of ±0.5 mm, which helps when selecting cable glands and carrier spacing. Under repeated motion it survives 5 million bending cycles when the installation respects the minimum fixed bend radius of 5 D and the dynamic radius of 7.5 D. These limits help protect the shield and conductors from fatigue during constant flexing.

The outer jacket is made of PUR, which provides abrasion resistance and good tolerance to oil in industrial routing. Its RAL 2003 (Orange) color makes the cable easy to identify in trays and cabinets where power and feedback leads run side by side. The conductor insulation remains functional up to +80 °C, helping the cable tolerate heat from nearby equipment and normal motor operation. The jacket compound is halogen-free, so smoke and combustion byproducts are less corrosive in enclosed equipment spaces. The control pairs operate on 300/300 V circuits and share the same overall shield, which helps limit interference between power and control conductors.
