IKG4010 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4010 motor power cable is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It is specified for routing drive output from servo inverters to machine motors and for simultaneously carrying two twisted control pairs that support encoder or brake signals. By combining power and control conductors in a single sheath, the cable simplifies installation within gantries, packaging lines, and transfer modules where continuous motion and tight space constraints dominate. Its construction targets indoor industrial automation, allowing reliable energy delivery while resisting oil, abrasion, and the high cycle counts typical of drag-chain applications.

Mechanical flexibility is set by the minimum bending radii. In static routing, the cable can be laid to 5 × D, while dynamic carriers require 7.5 × D. An outer diameter of 12.0 mm keeps harness bundles slim and reduces hinge loads inside energy chains. The jacket uses PUR (adhesion-free, matte) extrusion that resists cutting fluids and prevents sticking in guides, and its high-visibility RAL 2003 (Orange) color follows established safety coding for energized conductors. Inside the sheath, each control pair is individually foil-shielded and the collective bundle uses StC braid coverage to limit RF interference.

Electrically, the cable carries motor phases at up to 600 V AC, supported by four 1.0 mm² copper cores that deliver current with a conductor resistance of 19.5 ?/km. Two control pairs use 0.75 mm² strands, providing low-loss feedback links, and their mutual capacitance is rated at 0.6 nF/m to protect signal integrity over long runs. The design ratio of 4 power conductors to 2 signal pairs simplifies termination into hybrid motor connectors, while the stated capacitance and resistance values help estimate leakage current and voltage drop over longer cable runs.
