IKG0312 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG0312 cable is a flexible motor power connection manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It links drive controllers to synchronous motors in automated cells, carrying power and auxiliary lines through a compact bundle made for continuous motion. By supporting drag-chain travel and resisting hydrolysis, the cable helps maintain stable electrical performance in assembly, packaging, and material-handling equipment that runs repeated motion cycles throughout the day. Its flexible construction also supports routing in confined machine spaces where repeated bending is unavoidable.

Electrical loading is carried by 4x1.0 mm² power conductors, while control or brake signals are routed through separate 2x(2x0.75 mm²) twisted pairs so that power and control paths remain isolated. The cable has an outside diameter of 12.0 mm, which is useful when selecting carrier space and cable-entry hardware. At ambient temperatures up to 40 °C, the copper bundle can carry a continuous current of 13.0 A, matching the demand of small and medium Rexroth servo motors. A PUR outer sheath protects the cable against abrasion and cutting oils while also remaining halogen-free. A full-coverage tinned copper braid surrounds the conductors to reduce conducted and radiated noise that could disturb nearby signal circuits.

The design supports up to 5,000,000 carrier strokes, which suits high-cycle motion systems such as pick-and-place axes and transfer units. Conductor insulation tolerates a maximum operating temperature of +80 °C, helping limit thermal aging when the cable is routed near motors or braking components. Installation in fixed trays requires a minimum bend radius of 60 mm, while dynamic motion should use a larger loop radius to protect strand life during repeated flexing. The sheath is finished in Orange (RAL 2003), making the cable easy to identify inside dense machine layouts and mixed cable bundles.
