IKG0250 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG0250 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Designed for power distribution between servo drives and synchronous motors inside automated machines, the cable supports continuous flexing routes through drag chains and moving support systems used in packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and other dynamic axes. A RAL 2003 (orange) polyurethane jacket resists oil and welding spatter, and the adhesion-free matte finish helps the cable slide through guide channels.

Its circular construction has an outer diameter of 25.5 mm, allowing installation in energy chains without excessive fill. The four main conductors each have a cross section of 16.0 mm², so voltage drop remains low on long runs while still fitting common servo connectors. Direct current loss is limited by a conductor resistance of 1.21 ?/km measured at 20 °C, and the geometry between cores yields a mutual capacitance of 1.2 nF/m; both values affect reactive loading and output filter selection. During continuous motion, the cable can be bent to a minimum radius of 7.5 × D, a ratio that simplifies layout because the actual bend figure scales with the cable diameter.

The long-term mechanical profile includes a flex life of 5,000,000 bending cycles when the cable is routed in a drag chain, supported by finely stranded tinned-copper cores and an internal separator for the control pair. That auxiliary pair uses a 2x(2x1.5 mm²)StC conductor layout, giving brake or temperature signals a dedicated path inside the same sheath. The cable remains pliable while allowing a conductor temperature of up to 90 °C. It is also halogen-free and approved for drag-chain use, which supports low-smoke performance and dynamic cable routing.
