IKG0081 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG0081 is a shielded motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo drive installations, it carries mains power as well as auxiliary control lines between the controller and the machine-mounted motor. The cable supports coordinated motion, feedback, and safety circuits by integrating dedicated conductors in a single jacket, reducing cabinet space and simplifying industrial automation wiring. It targets dynamic applications such as gantries, packaging equipment, and material-handling axes where repeated flexing and electromagnetic compatibility are critical.

The power cores use a cross-section of 6.0 mm², providing low voltage drop for typical servo currents, while the integrated control pairs are sized at 2×1.0 mm² + 2×1.5 mm² to separate brake release and temperature sensor circuits. An overall diameter of 18.5 mm allows routing through standard cable glands, and the vibration-resistant PUR sheath withstands oil and coolant exposure because it uses PUR jacket material. Visual identification during installation is easier because the jacket follows the machinery safety hue RAL 2003 (orange). The separate power and control conductors keep auxiliary circuits isolated within the same cable.

Electrical performance includes a conductor resistance of 3.30 ?/km, which limits I²R losses along extended runs, and a line-to-shield discharge capacity of 0.8 nF/m, which helps keep drive switching transients within EMC limits. For static routing, the cable can be installed on a minimum radius of 5 × D, while dynamic bends in energy-guide chains may follow 7.5 × D without kinking. The design is approved for deployment in cable carriers, and its suitability for use in cable drag chains supports repeated motion under rapid accelerations.
