IKG0041 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG0041 is a flexible motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Designed for industrial automation, it connects drive inverters to servo motors, delivering three-phase energy and low-level signals in a single assembly. Its construction is intended for moving installations, allowing tight bend radii and reliable current delivery in packaging lines, material-handling gantries, and other dynamic axes. Because the power and control pairs are integrated, cabinet wiring is simplified and electromagnetic interference is reduced.

The main power cores follow a 4x2.5 mm² geometry, giving current capacity that suits mid-frame servo motors while limiting voltage drop across long runs. Auxiliary functions are serviced by twin twisted pairs sized at 2x(2x1.0 mm²), so brake release and temperature sensor lines remain separated from the high-energy conductors. It is approved for drag-chain operation, allowing more than one million bending cycles without conductor fatigue. At 20 °C, the cable presents a longitudinal conductor resistance of 7.98 Ohm/km, which helps determine suitable cable lengths and protective device selection. Mutual coupling between phases is reduced by a discharge capacitance of 0.7 nF/m. All elements sit beneath a laminated foil and braid that form a total shield, improving EMC performance by draining common-mode noise to ground during rapid PWM switching.

For continuous motion, the cable is rated for a fixed installation temperature up to 90 °C and a flexing limit of 80 °C, so thermal cycling inside drag chains does not degrade the insulation. The orange PUR sheath identified as RAL 2003 resists abrasion and cutting, and it meets the flame propagation requirement of EN 60332-1-2. Exposure to hydraulic oils and coolants is addressed by material performance validated under EN 60811-2-1. The PUR jacket is suitable for moving cable routes where abrasion resistance and fluid resistance are required.
