HLC Drives

The HLC Capacity Module Drive, manufactured by Rexroth, Indramat, Bosch, is designed to optimize energy balance in applications and rapid successive machining cycles. When connected to a DC bus, it acts as a temporary power storage unit, reducing heat loss in the control cabinet by alleviating the load on the brake resistor. In the event of a power failure, the stored energy enables a controlled return motion, protecting the workpiece and tools in gear cutting machines.
