CLM01.3-X-0-2-FW by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The CLM01.3-X-0-2-FW is a positioning control module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. It serves as the central coordinator for incremental motion by translating higher-level program commands into drive-ready signals for two independent axes in automated machinery. By combining command processing, field wiring, and a local operator display, the unit supports tasks such as indexing, cut-to-length, and packaging registration without requiring a separate standalone motion processor. This layout places command handling and local status review in one module, which reduces the need for additional interface hardware in multi-axis panels.

The module provides an amplifier enable output that can deliver 50 mA, which is enough to trigger the gate circuitry of most servo amplifiers. An analog override line supplies +10 VDC for external trimming of speed or position behavior. For direct connection to an auxiliary drive, the front panel uses an 8-pin Phoenix terminal block, and the dedicated brake channel outputs 24 VDC to release holding brakes during motion. Incremental encoder feedback enters through a female DB25 connector, while the four-line display provides local status and parameter information. The internal electronics run from a separate 24 VDC control supply, and the option slots are empty in this configuration.

System communication uses RS-232/422/485, allowing the module to interface with PLCs or PCs for recipe download and diagnostics. All system I/O signals are routed through a male DB37 input header and a matching DB37 female output, carrying lines for limit switches, probe inputs, and relay outputs. The unit mounts to the panel with four bolts, and a 1/4 in fastener size matches the threaded inserts on the rear casting. Because the module supervises 2 axes, the command connector is a Phoenix 15-pin plug that sends separate step and direction signals to each drive channel. The primary serial port is also duplicated on a DB25 female receptacle for direct access.
