IKS0301 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKS0301 is a flexible signal and power cord from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the Cables and Accessories series. It routes encoder signals and low-voltage supply lines between servo drives and motors in moving machine sections. Because one cable carries both feedback and supply conductors, it helps reduce cable bulk in drag chains and gantry axes. This type of cable is suited to axes that reverse direction frequently, where both electrical stability and mechanical flexibility matter.

The cable has a length of 3.5 m and an outer diameter of 8.8 mm, so it fits standard energy-guiding trays without taking much space inside narrow machine frames. Its power conductors use a 2×1.0 mm² cross-section for low-voltage supply current. Feedback lines are arranged as four individually twisted pairs with a total cross-section of 4×(2×0.25) mm², which helps preserve balanced signal transmission. Separating the larger supply cores from the smaller twisted-pair feedback conductors helps keep power delivery and signal transmission organized within one jacket. During reciprocating travel, the cable can flex to a 66 mm minimum dynamic bend radius, and the smaller 44 mm static bend radius helps keep fixed cabinet routing neat.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, supporting long service life in continuously moving equipment. A foil-and-braid screen identified as Total Shield helps reduce high-frequency interference that can disturb encoder pulses. That shielding approach is useful when the cable runs near switching devices, brake wiring, or adjacent motor leads. The outer jacket is made of PUR, which improves resistance to abrasion, cutting oils, and tearing in carrier systems. The conductors can operate at temperatures up to 80 °C, allowing use near warm motors or in cabinets with elevated ambient heat. The screening braid terminates at the connector shells to maintain grounding continuity along the cable route.
