Bosch Rexroth Indramat's IKG4090 belongs to the Cables and Accessories series and serves as a combined power-and-control lead between a drive controller and its servo motor in industrial automation cells. By integrating shielded power cores with smaller signal conductors and prefitted connectors, the assembly provides a single harness between the control cabinet and the moving axis. It carries three-phase power, feedback supply, and protective earth through one cable run. This arrangement simplifies routing on axes where space is limited and separate motor and control cables would be cumbersome.

The core insulation and sheath are built on the INK0603 bulk cable design, giving the round assembly a diameter of 17.0 mm for cable glands and cabinet bushings. Four power cores sized 4×4.0 mm² carry the three phases and protective conductor, while two pairs of control wires arranged as 2×1.0 mm² + 2×1.5 mm² carry brake and encoder supply lines. Copper cross sections of this size limit resistive losses to 4.95 ?/km at 20 °C. Both power and control groups share a rated insulation level of 600 V AC, allowing the harness to be used on drive systems connected to a DC bus. The controller end terminates in connector INS0459 and the motor end in INS0481, so installation uses plug-in connections. This layout keeps the power and auxiliary conductors in one outer jacket, which helps maintain an orderly cable path.

In operation, the cable can remain fixed inside a cabinet or move in a drag chain. For fixed routing, it tolerates ambient temperatures from -30 °C to 40 °C, while in dynamic tracks it stays flexible down to -20 °C. The cross-linked insulation can endure conductor temperatures of 90 °C when clamped, or 80 °C during continuous flexing. To reduce mechanical fatigue, the minimum bend radius in motion is 7.5×D. A discharge capacitance of 0.8 nF/m keeps displacement current low, which helps reduce drive-side filter loading and heat in long runs.
