The 8BCM0004.1034C-0 motor cable is produced by B & R Automation within the CM16 Motor Cables series. It combines power and feedback conductors inside one flexible jacket, allowing CM16 servo motors to connect directly to their drives without separate signal wiring. This integrated layout helps keep cable runs orderly in automated assembly, packaging, and material-handling equipment where moving axes must carry both motor power and position data through the same harness. By reducing the number of separate cable paths, it also helps simplify routing through compact machine spaces and cable carriers.

The assembly offers a reach of 4 m. Its conductor layout is 4x0.75 mm² + 2x(2x0.34 mm²), which keeps motor current separate from encoder pairs to limit crosstalk. A factory-molded 8-Pin Female Series 915 connector provides a secure connection without field crimping. Once coupled, the interface attains an ingress protection level of IP66/67, guarding against dust and high-pressure washdown. The outer jacket is PUR, so it resists coolants, oils, and repeated flex in drag chains. Electrical integrity is supported by a minimum insulation resistance of 500 M?·km, and the overall diameter fits common clamp profiles used in motion systems. This combination supports stable signal transmission while the cable is exposed to constant motion and typical industrial contaminants.

Dynamic performance suits high-speed axes because the cable supports travel speeds of 300 m/min without conductor fatigue during normal motion. Service life is further supported by a required moving bend radius of 78 mm, while static routing can use a tighter bend where movement is not expected. Dielectric strength is verified with a 4 kV wire-to-wire test, which helps maintain insulation separation under drive-related electrical stress. At only 0.36 kg, the assembly adds little mass to cable carriers and reduces the load on moving machine members. Low cable mass is especially useful on fast servo axes because it helps preserve smooth motion and limits added inertia in repetitive cycles.
