The 8BCH0025.1312A-0 is a flexible motor power and feedback cable produced by B & R Automation for the CM16 Motor Cables series. It links CM16 servo motors to matching drives and controls, carrying three-phase power, auxiliary supply, and encoder signals through a single routed assembly. By combining power and feedback lines in one jacket, the cable simplifies machine wiring and supports high-speed axis installation in industrial automation cells. It is intended for servo systems where the motor connection must tolerate repeated motion without separating the power wiring from the feedback circuit.

The cable has a length of 25 m and an overall diameter of 15.7 mm ±0.4 mm. A durable outer sheath made of PUR shields the internal bundle against oil, abrasion, and continuous flexing. Four power conductors sized 4× 4 mm² carry motor phase current, while the feedback path terminates in a 9-pin male D-Sub connector at the drive end and a 13-pin SpeedTec female connector at the motor side. Inside the sheath, conductor insulation is polypropylene, supply auxiliaries are routed on 2× 1 mm² copper, and signal lines use a 2× 0.30 mm² plus 4× 0.15 mm² layout. A tinned-copper braid combined with aluminum foil provides 360-degree shielding around the signal bundle, and the assembled cable weighs 9.6 kg for hanging or cable-chain installations.

The assembly carries up to 30 A on the power cores and withstands 4 kV between conductors or between a conductor and the shield. Continuous motion applications are supported by a maximum acceleration of 50 m/s² and a permitted cable speed of 300 m/min inside drag chains. That combination supports axes that reverse direction often while maintaining stable power and encoder transmission during travel. The shield design minimizes crosstalk, and the matched conductor sizes help limit voltage drop when the cable operates at full rated current. The insulation system and shielding arrangement also help preserve signal quality when the cable is routed beside other moving machine wiring.
