The 8LVA33.R0015D100-0 is a three-phase synchronous servo motor produced by B&R Automation within the 8LVA Three Phase Synchronous Motors series. In industrial automation, the unit converts electrical energy into regulated mechanical torque for positioning tasks on packaging lines, material-handling modules, and general motion axes. The motor's compact frame, permanent-magnet rotor, and feedback interface allow closed-loop speed and position control through a compatible servo drive. This type of motor suits axes that need repeatable acceleration and controlled stopping while fitting into compact machine sections.
Its nominal speed is 1500 rpm, providing steady shaft rotation for inline processes that match 50 Hz mechanical equipment. Positional repeatability is supported by an accuracy of 10 angular minutes, allowing the drive to maintain the commanded angle within that maximum error band. Heat is removed by a self-cooling design in which the housing dissipates losses without forced airflow, so no external fan is needed. Power and signal conductors attach through a built-in double angular connector that can swivel, letting the cable exit be oriented to match the machine layout. The wiring is arranged with separate encoder and power connections to help limit electromagnetic interference between high-current phases and low-level feedback signals. That connector arrangement also helps route cables away from nearby moving parts and tight panel boundaries.
The feedback element is a resolver, specifically model RE-15-1-J04, so the drive receives rotor position information for closed-loop control. Mechanical power is transmitted through a keyed shaft, allowing standard couplings to lock onto the key for torque transfer. With a motor size 3 frame and a length code of 3, the unit fits medium-power axes while preserving space in multi-axis assemblies. The frame format supports installation on medium-power axes where available mounting space is limited but stable torque transmission is still required. It is supplied without a holding brake and without an oil seal, so external braking devices or additional shaft sealing are required where load holding or splash protection is needed.
