The 8LVA13.B1030D200-0 is a three-phase synchronous servo motor from B & R Automation. It converts electrical energy into precise rotary motion for indexing tables, pick-and-place units, and coordinated multi-axis stages in automated equipment. The motor follows the 8LV platform layout, so it fits applications that need consistent motor and drive integration. Its multi-turn feedback and integral brake allow the axis to retain position after power loss and resume operation without a manual homing move. That arrangement is useful on transfer axes that must keep a known position during short shutdowns.

Its nominal shaft speed is 3000 rpm, which supports direct coupling to many machine loads. A built-in brake provides 0.35 Nm of static holding torque to keep the shaft from drifting when power is removed. Position feedback is supplied by an EnDat 2.2 inductive encoder with a resolution of 19/16 bits and an absolute accuracy of ±120 arcsec. The encoder can store motor and application data, and the motor does not include certified safety channels, so external safety hardware is required where those functions are needed. This combination suits applications that alternate between fast moves and frequent stops. Size 1 with length 3 determines the mounting format for this motor frame.

Power and feedback exit through a swiveling double angular connector, and the design uses separate encoder and power connections to reduce electrical interference between the circuits. Separate routing for the two circuits also helps with cable management where tight bends or moving harnesses are present. The encoder is battery-backed, which allows the multi-turn system to retain revolution data while the machine is powered down. Cooling is handled by self-cooling, so no external fan or liquid circuit is needed during normal operation. Because the motor has no oil seal, the mounting area should remain free of lubricant, and the smooth shaft end supports direct coupling in clean, dry installations.
