B&R Automation builds the 8LSAA3.D9060S200-3 for the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. This three-phase synchronous motor is intended for positioning and speed control on packaging, pick-and-place, and assembly axes where accurate response is needed during repeated starts and stops. The standard configuration comes without a reinforced bearing, uses an integral flange for mounting, and has a smooth shaft for coupling to precision gearheads. A plug-style connector carries power and feedback, while length code 3 and product revision 3 identify the configured version.

The motor reaches a top speed of 6000 rpm, which suits lightweight rotors and low-inertia loads. A flange outside diameter of 70 mm sets the mounting interface and helps keep the motor centered during high-speed operation. Power, encoder data, and brake supply share one path through the single-cable solution, which reduces cable routing complexity in compact machine sections. Position feedback is provided by an Inductive EnDat sensor, and protocol version 2.2 supports automatic calibration and advanced diagnostics. All electrical conductors terminate in a shielded connector to help maintain signal integrity at the drive interface.

The housing uses self-cooling with free air circulation, so airflow around the frame must remain unobstructed when guards are closed. A standard holding brake clamps the rotor during power-off events, helping the axis remain in position without an external actuator. Encoder resolution is 19/12 bits for single-turn and multi-turn feedback, and the stored multi-turn 4096 revs count preserves absolute position through supply interruptions. Because the motor has no oil seal, it is better suited to dry environments. Its compact connection concept also reduces external cable handling in areas with frequent tooling changes.
