The 8LSA75.DB030S200-3 is a three-phase synchronous servomotor built by B&R Automation for the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for axes that require precise position and velocity control in automated machinery. Its permanent-magnet rotor and compact stator convert drive output into torque for packaging lines, material-handling stages, and pick-and-place gantries. Direct attachment to machine frames is possible, and integrated encoder feedback allows the controller to close the position loop without external sensors.

The motor's power, signal, and encoder lines are routed through a single-cable hybrid solution, which reduces cabinet penetrations and simplifies harness assembly. Heat generated by copper losses is removed through self-cooling with free air circulation, so no external blower or liquid circuit is required for the intended duty cycle. Rotor position is captured by an inductive EnDat sensor, a scanning method that tolerates vibration and avoids optical glass scales. The feedback system communicates with EnDat version 2.2, enabling electronic nameplate transfer and automatic parameter loading. At a rated mechanical speed of 3000 rpm, the motor can deliver continuous torque while remaining within the thermal limits of the 8LSA design.

During standstill, a standard holding brake locks the smooth shaft to maintain load position until drive torque is reapplied. The mounting flange follows a 190 mm square pattern for direct coupling to gearboxes or machine frames. Encoder data are delivered with 19/12 bits of single-turn and multi-turn resolution, and the multi-turn counter tracks up to 4096 revolutions for absolute position retention after power loss. The motor uses a connector-based interface, comes without an oil seal or reinforced bearings, and is supplied in Product Revision 3 with Length code 5.
