The 8LSA75.D1030D200-3 is a three-phase synchronous servo motor supplied by B & R Automation for the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. It provides closed-loop rotary motion for axes in packaging, assembly, and material-handling equipment, converting drive current directly into controlled torque and speed without intermediate gearing. When paired with a compatible inverter, the motor supports precise positioning and repeatable speed control while keeping the machine layout compact. The synchronous design allows the connected drive to regulate speed and position directly from encoder feedback, which supports indexing, transfer, and pick-and-place motion.
At the mechanical interface, the motor mounts through a flange whose locating pilot follows the DIN 190 mm pattern, allowing installation on machine faces that match this standard. The rotor can run continuously up to 3000 rpm, which suits fast axis movement within this frame size. Heat is dissipated by self-cooling airflow around the housing, so no external fan is required. Position feedback is produced by an Optical EnDat encoder that uses protocol version 2.2, and its dual-channel sampling provides 25/12 bits of single-turn and multi-turn resolution for accurate control. A sealed rear connector carries both power and feedback conductors, which reduces wiring complexity while helping preserve the enclosure rating. This arrangement supports accurate commutation and repeatable axis response across the motor speed range.
The motor uses the standard 8LSA configuration and does not include a reinforced bearing, which suits loads with moderate radial force. It has length code 5. Service access is improved by the angled connection layout, which helps route cables in tighter machine spaces. A standard holding brake secures the load during shutdown, and the smooth shaft end is intended for clamp or keyed couplings when an external oil seal is not required. Because no shaft seal is fitted, the motor is best suited to installations where external sealing is not needed at the coupling point. Absolute position retention extends across 4096 revolutions of the multi-turn counter. The motor is built in revision 3, which maintains compatibility with existing drive platforms.
