Position feedback is delivered by an optical EnDat encoder with protocol version 2.2, which supports simultaneous data transmission and electronic motor data transfer to the drive.

The encoder provides 25/0 bits of single-turn/multi-turn resolution, and this motor uses single-turn capability, which suits short-stroke axes where cumulative revolution tracking is unnecessary. Power and feedback leads exit through an angled swivel connection that reduces cable bend radius inside dynamic drag chains, and a sealed connector housing completes the interface. The housing uses flange mounting, and torque is delivered by a smooth shaft that mates to backlash-free clamp couplings. There is no holding brake or oil seal, so vertical loads must be restrained by external devices and the shaft area should be kept away from contaminated lubricants. This layout is better suited to clean, dry installations where the shaft end is not exposed to process fluids.
