The stator stack uses length code 4, and the 8LSA configuration keeps weight lower with standard bearings and no holding brake. Because no oil seal is fitted, the motor should be installed away from heavy coolant splash. The absence of a holding brake means the axis must rely on drive torque or external mechanics when load retention is required at standstill. The standard 8LSA version does not use a reinforced bearing, so it is intended for general-purpose axes rather than applications with unusually high radial loads.
