The 8LSA36.R0030C200-0 is a three-phase synchronous motor built by B&R Automation for the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. As a rotational actuator, it drives axes in packaging machines, pick-and-place gantries, and other automated stations where compact permanent-magnet technology is preferred. By combining the 8LSA configuration with a standard bearing set, the unit fits applications that do not require reinforced mechanical support while still delivering closed-loop torque control through its drive. The motor is intended for servo-controlled duty where fast starts, stops, and accurate speed regulation are required in a compact footprint.

The motor uses a mounting interface with a flange diameter of 91.3 mm, allowing direct coupling to machine frames or gearboxes without adapters. Its rated speed is 3000 rpm, so motion controllers can command high operating speed within the motor's normal duty range. A self-cooling with free circulation housing eliminates external fans, and heat leaves the stator by natural convection. Position feedback is provided by a resolver, which supplies rotor angle feedback and tolerates high vibration. A standard holding brake is integrated to lock the shaft when the drive is disabled, helping prevent drift on vertical loads.

For wiring, a straight top connector mates with a single industrial connector, so power and sensor leads rise vertically and clear tight machine envelopes. Mechanical output is through a smooth shaft, which supports connection to clamp-style hubs or collars. Angular backlash is held within 10 arcmin, supporting moderate positioning accuracy during normal axis motion. Installation uses a mounting flange, and because the shaft does not include an oil seal, it should be used in clean environments or behind a customer-supplied seal.
