By converting drive current directly into rotary motion without brushes, the motor supplies continuous torque for cyclical machine tasks while keeping maintenance needs low. It follows the standard configuration without a reinforced bearing, making it suitable for medium load applications where low rotor inertia supports responsive motion. This layout suits servo applications that need repeatable acceleration, stable low-speed behavior, and compact motor packaging.
Mechanically, the unit mounts to machinery through a 91.3 mm square flange, and its profile remains compact because signal and power lines exit through an angled swivel connector. A nominal shaft speed of 2200 rpm supports direct coupling to moderate-ratio gear stages without overspeeding. Position feedback is delivered by an Inductive EnDat encoder that operates with the EnDat 2.1 protocol. Its native resolution reaches 19/12 bits for single-turn and multi-turn tracking, allowing the drive controller to issue fine incremental commands even during slow creep moves. This feedback method removes the need for separate Hall devices and supports automatic parameter handling in the drive system.
The motor relies on a self-cooling principle with free air circulation, so no external fan or liquid circuit is required. Its encoder stores up to 4096 revolutions of multi-turn data, and because no mechanical brake is present, loads must be held by drive torque when power is removed. Output torque is transferred through a smooth shaft that pairs well with clamp hubs, and axial location is fixed by a mounting flange. The housing is supplied without an oil seal, which matches the standard 8LSA build and suits clean operating areas where added shaft sealing is not required. Free air circulation also keeps the overall motor package simple where machine space does not allow auxiliary cooling hardware.
