The 8LSA25.E5060D200-3 synchronous servomotor is built by B&R Automation as part of the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. The unit is a three-phase permanent-magnet machine intended for axes that require precise speed and position control in packaging lines, pick-and-place gantries, and general machinery. By combining encoder feedback with flange mounting, the motor can be coupled directly to gearboxes or load shafts for compact installation in distributed automation systems. That makes it suitable for machines that need fast acceleration, controlled deceleration, and repeatable positioning over long duty cycles.

Its nominal operating limit is 6000 rpm, so the motor can support high-speed operation on servo-controlled axes. Heat is removed through self-cooling through free air circulation, eliminating the need for an external blower. Position data comes from an optical EnDat encoder with a combined resolution of 13/12 bits for single-turn and multi-turn detection. Mechanical attachment uses a 58 mm square flange that matches common mounting patterns. Because cooling is built into the motor body, no separate fan wiring or ducting is required around the axis.

The standard holding brake secures the load during power-off conditions and supports axes that need the shaft held at standstill. The encoder retains absolute position across power cycles because it includes a multi-turn counter with 4096 revolutions. Electrical connections leave the housing through a swivel gland, and the connection direction is angled to ease routing in compact machine layouts. The motor is supplied without an oil seal, so it is better suited to clean, dry environments than to locations with fluid exposure. A mounting flange, EnDat 2.1 communication, and a three-phase stator winding complete the interface to the drive controller.
