The 8LSA25.D8060S100-3 is a three-phase synchronous motor produced by B&R Automation for the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. As an axis-drive element, it converts electrical power into controlled mechanical rotation for positioning or speed-regulation tasks in automated machinery. The housing follows the 8LSA configuration, which indicates a standard build without reinforced bearings, and it mounts to equipment through an integrated flange. In servo-controlled systems, this layout supports accurate acceleration, deceleration, and stable speed control during repeated machine cycles.

Its rated speed reaches 6000 rpm, letting servo drives couple fast-moving tool spindles or gantry axes without gear reduction. The mounting interface uses a 58 mm square flange, so the motor can fit equipment designed for IEC-58 packages. Power, feedback, and safety signals are routed through a single-cable solution, and the hybrid lead terminates in a removable connector. Using one hybrid cable reduces the number of separate motor connections and keeps routing more compact around moving axes. Thermal energy is dissipated by self-cooling with free air circulation, so no external blower or liquid circuit is required. Position data is supplied by an Inductive EnDat encoder that communicates through the EnDat 2.2 protocol and provides absolute feedback with automatic calibration.

The encoder provides 19/0 bits of single-turn and multi-turn resolution, so absolute position is available within one revolution only. The motor has no holding brake, so static loads must be secured by the drive or external clamping devices. The shaft comes with a key to transmit torque through keyed couplings without slip. Mechanical protection such as an oil seal is omitted, matching revision 3 and length code 5 to keep the design compact. Without a shaft seal, the motor is better suited to installations that do not require oil sealing at the output.
