The unit is a three-phase synchronous motor intended for positioning and velocity control on automated production lines, pick-and-place systems, and packaging machines. Within these axes, it converts drive current into torque with permanent-magnet excitation while the integrated feedback channel supplies real-time rotor angle data to the drive controller. This closed-loop arrangement helps the paired drive maintain accurate motion during frequent starts, stops, and speed changes.

The motor simplifies cabinet wiring through a single-cable hybrid solution that carries power, encoder signals, and safety channels in one shielded lead. Heat generated in the stator is removed by self-cooling with free circulation, eliminating the need for external blowers or liquid circuits. Position feedback is generated by an optical EnDat encoder that operates on the EnDat 2.1 protocol for bidirectional communication and automatic parameter upload. Mechanical integration is supported by a 58 mm flange dimension, which matches compact planetary gearboxes and servo mounts. A standard holding brake engages mechanically when power is removed so vertical or suspended loads remain stationary. The encoder delivers 23/12-bit resolution for single-turn and multi-turn data, allowing very fine feedback accuracy. A smooth shaft accommodates clamp or collet hubs where zero backlash is required. For absolute position tracking over long travel, the feedback system records up to 4096 multi-turn revolutions and retains the count during power cycles. The motor also uses length code 4 and a connector interface, while the absence of an oil seal suits installations where shaft sealing is not required.
