The 8LAS75.EA030D600-3 is a synchronous motor produced by B&R Automation for the 8LS Synchronous Motors series. In industrial automation systems, it acts as an electromechanical actuator, converting drive current into precise rotary motion so axes can be positioned and regulated according to commands from servo drives. This type of motor is commonly used on controlled axes that need repeatable speed and position response during automated cycles. Its standard configuration makes it suitable for machinery layouts that require consistent mounting and feedback conventions.
The motor sustains a continuous rated speed of 3000 rpm, enabling compatibility with typical servo drive frequency outputs. That operating speed supports many standard servo applications without requiring unusual motor scaling. It has a flange dimension of 190 mm for direct coupling to gearboxes or machine frames. Feedback is delivered by an Inductive EnDat encoder that uses EnDat version 2.1, and the contactless sensing principle tolerates vibration and contaminants. Cable entry uses an angled swivel connector, so wiring can be routed parallel to the machine wall and rotated during installation. The unit is supplied without a holding brake, so position retention during power-off must be provided by external braking or drive torque.
An internal oil seal sits behind the shaft to keep lubrication inside the bearing chamber and block coolant or dust from entering. The encoder provides 19/0 bit resolution, which corresponds to 19 bits in single-turn mode with no additional multi-turn count, supplying fine angular data to the drive controller. The motor is built in revision 3. Because the feedback device reports only one revolution, the unit has single-turn capability, so the drive must track absolute position beyond one turn with its own software counter. A smooth shaft end and length code 5 give the motor a mid-frame mechanical envelope without keyways, and the smooth shaft is intended for clamping or friction-based coupling methods rather than keyed transmission.
