A smooth shaft supports clamping-style couplings and avoids the stress concentration associated with keyed connections. Because the feedback device is single-turn, the control system may require a homing routine after power-up to establish full machine position, while data handling remains simpler than with multi-turn formats. The unit corresponds to motor size 6 with length code 2, giving it proportions suited to medium-power servo axes. No holding brake is fitted, so static loads must be secured by the drive or by external mechanics.
