B & R Automation manufactures the 8EI8X8MWT30.01ZZ-1 as part of the 8EI Servo Drives series. Within the ACOPOS P3 8EI servo drive family, this module provides power conversion and control so that up to three motor axes can be driven from a single compact unit. By integrating current measurement, switching devices, and drive control functions, it supplies closed-loop speed and torque regulation to automation cells that require synchronized motion. This layout reduces cabinet space and wiring compared with three separate single-axis amplifiers.

The module is listed as a 3-axis module, yet the platform can also operate as a 1-axis module or a 2-axis module when the machine layout does not require all three channels. During continuous duty, each axis can deliver 8.8 Aeff, enabling mid-frame servomotors to accelerate loads without saturation. The supply section accepts a three-phase line at 3 x 200-230 VAC, and it can also run from a single-phase 110-230 VAC branch for smaller machines. That input flexibility supports installations with different available mains services. The lack of a front cover leaves the heat sink and connectors exposed inside the cabinet, so clearance distances must be respected. There is no plug-in option card, so the X2 expansion slot remains open.

The interface side uses Connector Set 2 (2-row) for power and signal terminations, while the single-row connector set is omitted, simplifying harness routing. The module has no internal braking resistor, so an external dynamic brake or shared DC-bus chopper is required when regenerative energy is expected. The unit uses wall mounting, which places the rear heat sink against a panel for convection airflow inside the cabinet. The ordering code indicates a standard configuration, so safety I/O, encoder supply, and fieldbus functions rely on the base setup. A front cover, a one-row connector, and plug-in modules are not included with this version.
