The 8EI8X8HWS10.0600-1 servo drive is built by B&R Automation as part of the 8EI Servo Drives series within the ACOPOS P3 product line. It serves as an individual axis amplifier that regulates inverter current for synchronous or induction motors in coordinated motion systems. Encoder-based control allows the drive to maintain accurate speed and position response during indexing, transfer, and synchronized production tasks. Functional safety is provided by hardwired STO safety technology with encoder, which removes torque-producing output by disabling the gate drivers during a safety event. Regenerative energy during deceleration is handled by an integrated internal braking resistor, which helps absorb short braking peaks on many mid-inertia loads. Installation is supported by wall mounting, allowing the unit to be secured directly within a control cabinet layout. The supplied front cover helps shield live terminals during service access and routine handling. This arrangement keeps the power connections enclosed while preserving access to the device for normal electrical installation.
