The 8EI2X2HWD10.0700-1 is a servo drive module produced by B & R Automation and assigned to the 8EI Servo Drives series within the ACOPOS P3 platform. The module accepts a three-phase supply of 3x 200-480 VAC, allowing it to share power buses with common factory voltages. At rated conditions, each axis can continuously deliver 2.2 Aeff, which suits low-to-medium inertia servomotors and compact motion axes. To satisfy functional safety requirements, the unit incorporates hardwired STO safety technology with encoder; this arrangement removes drive power within milliseconds while preserving position data for a fast restart. During deceleration, energy is absorbed by the built-in internal braking resistor, which reduces the need for an external dump resistor in typical applications. Mechanical integration is simplified by wall mounting, so the drive can be placed directly on the rear panel of a sealed cabinet without DIN rail adapters.

The platform supports configuration as a 1-axis module, while the delivered unit operates as a dual-channel device and can also function as a 3-axis module when paired with expansion electronics. Field wiring uses a 2-row connector set that combines power, control, and feedback connections in one keyed interface, which helps keep cable placement orderly and reduces connection errors. The enclosure includes a front cover that protects the contact area during installation and routine access. The base hardware is delivered as the standard module option.
