B & R Automation produces the 8EI013HWS10.0700-1 as part of the ACOPOS P3 8EI servo drive series. This drive is intended to energize and regulate a single servo motor, translating command values into controlled torque and velocity for motion-axis duties in assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling equipment. Its control function is focused on accurate speed and torque regulation so that a machine axis can accelerate, run, and decelerate in a controlled manner during repetitive cycles. The unit is delivered as a 1-axis module, making it suitable for applications where each axis uses its own dedicated drive.

The power section accepts a three-phase supply of 3x 200-480 VAC, allowing operation across a wide range of industrial mains. A continuous output of 13 Aeff supports medium-power servo motors, and an internal braking resistor dissipates regenerated energy during rapid deceleration. For field wiring, the housing uses Connector Set 2 (2-row), which groups the power and feedback connections in a compact interface. This arrangement keeps cable routing orderly in space-limited cabinets and supports direct connection to the drive's power stage and encoder circuits. Application-specific I/O is not built in, so any additional I/O functions must be added externally.

Installation is by wall mounting, which helps keep the heat sink oriented for natural airflow while limiting cabinet depth. A front cover protects the control electronics from incidental contact, and hardwired STO safety technology with encoder allows direct integration into emergency-stop circuits without relying on network commands. STO removes torque-producing energy from the motor, while the encoder connection supports feedback handling required by the drive system. The product is supplied in a standard configuration, which keeps the feature set consistent for this model.
