B&R Automation manufactures the 4B1270.00-K09 operator interface panel in the 4B1 PanelWare Panels series. Intended for front-door mounting on control cabinets, the device combines a multi-line LCD, front keys, and a communication port so operators can read system states, change parameters, and acknowledge alarms at the machine. Its compact format reduces field wiring and supports decentralized automation layouts without requiring a separate programming terminal for everyday interaction. Machine messages appear in plain text, which helps users recognize faults quickly and move through menu-driven functions with less ambiguity. Direct keypad entry also allows routine adjustments from the panel itself.

The visual section uses an LC module with a brightness of 200 cd/cm², allowing legibility in indoor factory lighting.
