Beckhoff supplies the ZX4530-0010-0050 as a preassembled motor feedback cable in the ZK Motor Cables series. The assembly links servo drives to feedback-equipped motors, carrying signal, encoder, and auxiliary power channels in a single sheath so the automation controller can receive position data without separate harnesses. By integrating these conductors, the cable simplifies routing inside gantries, conveyors, and packaging lines while supporting the deterministic communication required in industrial automation.

Each conductor bundle follows a 4 × 2 × 0.25 mm² geometry, providing four twisted pairs that help minimize crosstalk and voltage drop over the run. On the motor side, Head A uses a 12-pin circular insert inside an M23 shell; this layout supports separate resolver channels, while the nickel-plated contacts handle a maximum current of 7 A at a continuous potential of 160 V AC/DC. A 2.5 kV impulse withstand rating protects the insulation from drive-induced transient spikes. Crimp contacts are terminated with an automated press tool, and the threaded coupling uses the Speedtec mechanism so strain is transferred to the metal backshell rather than the conductors. The maximum operating voltage for the overall cable jacket is 300 V AC.

Controller-side termination is provided by a 15-pin D-sub connector on Head B; its solder buckets allow secure attachment of ribbon or discrete leads without altering the impedance of the shielded pairs. The threaded Speedtec latch on the circular plug mates with a panel receptacle in less than one turn, and its Speedtec screw coupling resists vibration in pick-and-place robots. The connectors are rated for 500 mating cycles, supporting repeated connection during installation and maintenance. The cable also has a flex rating of 5 million torsional or bending cycles for use in continuous-motion cable chains.
