The ZK7208-3031-A050 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. Intended for servo installations, it combines power conductors, feedback pairs, and a protective earth conductor in one assembly, allowing drive controllers to supply energy and collect position data without separate wiring looms. This preterminated lead simplifies routing between cabinet-mounted amplifiers and moving axes, helping industrial automation systems maintain precise motor coordination while reducing assembly time on the shop floor.

With a total length of 5.00 m, the cable can span typical machine frames while staying within drive parameter limits for line impedance. The cable has 4 shielded data cores for transmitting encoder feedback, and each core has a copper cross-sectional area of 0.34 mm² (AWG22) to keep signal attenuation low over the full run. Installation interface size B17 matches the manufacturer's SpeedTec circular connectors, while mechanical coding 1 prevents connection to incompatible voltage groups. The power conductors have a cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm², supporting medium-output servomotors. The nominal voltage capacity reaches 630 V AC/850 V DC, allowing the cable to support inverter-fed three-phase supplies and suitable DC bus arrangements. The connector inserts have 4 + PE (5) power contacts arranged according to the 2 x 24 V DC + PE coding scheme. This contact arrangement keeps the auxiliary supply connections and protective earth organized within the connector. A molded housing and gasket system provide an IP65/IP67 protection rating, allowing installation on moving axes exposed to dust or washdown spray.
