The EP6001-0002 digital input module from Beckhoff in the EP Digital Input Modules series is reliable. It offers RS232, RS485, and RS422 interfaces, nearly 1000 m cable length, 300 to 115200 baud speeds, and IP65 to IP67 protection. It includes 864-byte receive and 128-byte transmit buffers, full duplex communication, and a typical 3 mA input current. It uses EtherCAT and provides two digital input or output channels.
