The Beckhoff EL EtherCAT Terminal Series (EL Series) offers a comprehensive and resilient range of products, seamlessly integrating various signal types and capabilities into EtherCAT-based automation systems. Serving as an interface between the EtherCAT fieldbus and actual I/O devices, these terminals provide modular and versatile solutions tailored for industrial automation requirements. The EL Series includes diverse signal categories, such as digital and analog I/O, position measurement, communications, and specialized safety terminals. Engineered with robust casings, reliable connections, and resilient electronics, they ensure optimal reliability even in challenging industrial settings. Thanks to its modular design, the EL Series supports effortless configuration and scalability, allowing up to 65,535 devices to connect within a single EtherCAT network. A key advantage of the series lies in the ultra-fast EtherCAT protocol, achieving real-time and deterministic communication at speeds from 100 Mbps up to 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps with EtherCAT G, catering to applications that demand precise timing and synchronization.
