The EL3214 from Beckhoff's EL EtherCAT Terminals series is a versatile EtherCAT terminal offering 4-channel input utilizing a 2- or 3-wire (default 3-wire) connection, ideal for industrial temperature measurement using RTDs. It features a conversion time of approx. 170 ms and a single-ended ground reference for inputs. The unit offers a limit input filter frequency of 1 kHz and a measurement error of "+-0.5°C" for Pt sensors, with a measuring range from -200 to +850°C for platinum sensors. Additionally, it operates on power supplied via the E-bus, ensuring robust performance in a broad operating temperature range.
