The EK1818 by Beckhoff is part of the EK1xxx EtherCAT Coupler Series, optimally designed for industrial automation systems. This coupler supports a baud rate of 100 MBaud and a data transfer rate of 100 Mbaud, ensuring rapid communication with a typical delay of 1 µs. Accommodating up to 65534 EtherCAT terminals in the system, it integrates 8 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs, each channel delivering an output current of 0.5 A.
