The CX2030-0130-1002 is an embedded PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CX Embedded PC Systems series. It provides the computational layer for industrial automation, replacing standalone PLCs with a PC-based platform that can execute real-time control, visualization, and data-handling tasks in a single enclosure. By integrating field networking and application software on one device, the controller streamlines machine design and supports deterministic operation on assembly lines, material-handling stations, and process skids.

Processing performance is centered on an Intel Core i7-2610UE processor that operates at 1.5 GHz. Its two physical cores enable simultaneous execution of motion loops, user programs, and diagnostic services without an external coprocessor. System memory consists of 2 GB of DDR3 RAM for code execution and buffering, supported by 128 kB of NOVRAM that preserves critical variables during power loss. Mass storage is provided by a CFast card with a minimum capacity of 40 GB, leaving room for embedded operating systems and historical data.
