CP2616-0000 by Beckhoff

The CP2616-0000 is an industrial Panel PC produced by Beckhoff as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for cabinet-mounted HMI and soft PLC tasks, it combines a touchscreen display with integrated computing hardware so machines can run control logic and present process data on the same unit. Through its EtherCAT and Ethernet interfaces, the device connects directly to Beckhoff I/O or a plant network, allowing deterministic fieldbus traffic and standard TCP/IP communication without additional gateways.

A regulated input of 24 VDC powers the motherboard, display backlight, and internal solid-state drives, simplifying wiring alongside other 24 V machine control components. For higher-level networking, the system offers a single 10/100BASE-T port that handles configuration access, SCADA links, or remote maintenance. The sealed aluminum front complies with IP65, so dust and directed water jets cannot reach the screen or panel keys when the unit is installed in the front of an enclosure. The rear provides two USB 2.0 ports for attaching service keyboards, barcode scanners, or data storage devices while the operating system is running. Mechanical endurance under continuous low-frequency vibration is rated at 0.035 mm from 10 to 58 Hz, supporting installation on motor-driven production lines.

The housing tolerates impacts up to 5 G for 30 ms, resisting shocks that may occur during transport or emergency stops. Reliable operation is maintained in ambient air from 0 °C up to 55 °C, enabling installation near heat-generating machinery without additional cooling. The electronics withstand up to 95% RH under noncondensing conditions, allowing the unit to operate in control cabinets exposed to high relative humidity. Despite the die-cast front and steel rear cover, the total mass is only 4.3 kg, simplifying panel installation and reducing the load on adjustable-arm mounts.
