The CP6900-0001-0000 is a panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. Integrated into a machine front end, it functions as a human-machine interface. It lets operators monitor processes, issue commands, and connect to PLC hardware through dedicated display and USB extension links on the plant floor.
The unit draws power from a nominal 24 VDC source, and the pluggable supply plug incorporates 5 pins rated for up to 16 A. Control-cabinet conductors with cross-sections up to 1.5 mm² can be landed directly in this connector. A protection class of Front IP65, Rear IP20 seals the touch panel against dust and low-pressure water jets while allowing the rear electronics to remain in a ventilated enclosure. One DVI-E port supports a single extended input channel for remote visualization, and its extender module maintains signal integrity across the plant. USB wiring on the bezel provides one upstream input and two downstream outputs for local peripherals, while an additional rear port supports service tools over a 5 m cable run.
The visualization layer relies on a TFT display that works with a single-touch analog resistive surface to register commands even through gloves. The integrated DVI extender drives video over twisted-pair or fiber lines up to 50 m without repeaters, enabling the screen to be positioned away from the controller. High-speed peripherals can also be routed through the USB-E channel; this link sustains data throughput of 480 Mbit/s, follows the USB 2.0 specification, and preserves signal quality over extension cables rated for the same 50 m limit. One upstream USB-E input complements the standard USB ports so external keyboards, scanners, or storage devices can be used at long distances without hubs or active boosters.
