The CP2299-0020 is a fanless panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for cabinet-front installation, the unit combines an industrial touchscreen with an integrated motherboard to run TwinCAT or other real-time control software. When mounted on a machine line, it acts as the central human-machine interface and compact industrial PC, bridging fieldbuses, higher-level networks, and onboard storage so that automation sequences and diagnostic data can be processed locally without a separate computer.

Protection on the display side is rated at IP65, allowing direct exposure to washdown spray while the rear remains inside the enclosure. The electronics operate from a nominal supply of 24 VDC and are installed on a 3.5-inch motherboard that accepts one 2.5-inch drive and a single CFast card for operating system images or recipe files. Network connectivity is handled by two independent Gigabit ports; the first uses an Intel i219 controller, and the second uses an Intel i210 controller, providing hardware separation for the machine and plant networks. A UPS interface delivers 27 VDC at 2.5 A so the panel can shut down properly during a power loss, and the pluggable connector accommodates conductors up to 1.5 mm².

The rear panel has an IP20 rating, making the unit suitable for protected cabinet interiors where foreign objects larger than 12 mm are excluded. The panel provides four USB 3.0 ports for service tools, barcode scanners, and mass-storage devices, while Ethernet cable runs can extend up to 100 m under Cat 5e limits. Security is supported by the integrated fTPM 2.0 module, which safeguards encryption keys for drive images and PLC licenses. The power plug is rated for 16 A, and the available terminal space allows wiring to be routed alongside digital I/O harnesses.
