The CP9842_1 is a PCB interface card produced by Beckhoff as part of the C9 PC Accessories series. It installs inside industrial PCs to provide an internal junction for peripheral lines, touchscreen wiring, and auxiliary power distribution used in automated machinery. The card has an open-board layout that connects with adjacent modules through edge connectors, allowing the system to gain additional functions without requiring a larger enclosure. Its compact format also allows it to fit within densely arranged industrial computer assemblies where internal space is limited.

This board carries an integrated MAX3815 signal conditioner, which equalizes differential channels before their signals reach the host controller. With an estimated mass of only 0.01 lb, the card adds minimal load to its mounting points. Field wiring enters through three circular industrial connectors, providing separate connections for power, data, and touchscreen signals while keeping the board footprint compact. The assembly uses a matte black solder mask that provides contrast around traces, pads, and components during visual inspection. Installation uses a screw-mounted PCB arrangement with plated mounting zones that accept standoffs. The board has two mounting holes, allowing it to be secured without placing excessive stress on the board edge. Signal paths between the board layers are arranged around the gold-plated header to maintain organized routing between connected circuits. Because the board has an open layout, air can circulate across components that generate heat during continuous industrial operation.
