The C9900-A184 is a graphics expansion component produced by Beckhoff for the C9 PC Accessories series. Installed in automation controllers, the card provides an additional video channel so machine operators can view process data on more than one screen from a single industrial PC. By giving Beckhoff IPCs a second graphical output, the unit allows users to separate control interfaces from diagnostic windows, making system supervision clearer on factory floors and in control rooms.

The card connects to the host system through a PCI Express x16 slot, supplying the bandwidth required for high-resolution industrial HMI layouts. It is recognized by systems running Intel Celeron or Core 2 Duo processors, ensuring driver compatibility with common Beckhoff motherboards. Once installed, the hardware can drive 2 monitors simultaneously, supporting cloned or independent workspaces without requiring another computer. Signals leave the board through an internal DVI header that connects to CP Link interfaces for noise-resistant transmission inside enclosures. The card also supports an extended desktop mode, allowing operators to move application windows across both displays without interruption.

The hardware is supplied as a plug-in card, allowing visualization upgrades to be installed without altering the existing enclosure. When used with CP Link, the digital video stream can span up to 100 m between the industrial PC and a remote panel, providing layout flexibility in large machines. Its mechanical alignment and BIOS resources match the ATX motherboard format used in several Beckhoff chassis. Compatible systems include CP65xx, C3xxx, C5102, C6140, C6150, C6240, C6250, and C66xx devices, covering panel PCs, rack PCs, and cabinet-mounted controllers used throughout industrial automation systems.
