The C6930-1602-0050 industrial PC is produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. It is a compact control platform designed for mounting inside electrical cabinets, where it executes machine sequencing, visualization, and real-time communication with distributed I/O. By combining CPU, storage, and network interfaces in one enclosure, the unit replaces separate PLC and gateway hardware in automation lines. Its fanless aluminum housing supports TwinCAT runtimes and links directly to EtherCAT and standard Ethernet devices, allowing it to coordinate motion, vision, and process tasks in packaging, assembly, and material-handling machinery.

The housing measures 235 mm in height, 90 mm in width, and 121 mm in depth, allowing the controller to fit within a 100 mm-wide section of DIN rail without blocking adjacent components. At 2100 g, the enclosure adds little mass to a control cabinet while providing mechanical stability. An IP20 protection rating restricts the device to clean, dry enclosures and requires an external cabinet where dust or moisture is present. The power plug supports up to 8 A, accommodating common machine-side power supplies. Screw terminals accept conductors up to 1.5 mm², so standard control wiring can be used. One DVI port delivers video to a local operator panel, and the RJ45 Ethernet connector supports cable runs up to 100 m.

The front panel offers 4 USB ports for USB flash drives, barcode readers, or data-logging drives. Two LAN ports allow control traffic to be separated from plant-level network traffic while maintaining gigabit throughput. Expansion cards can be added through 2 PCIe module slots, enabling fieldbus masters, additional storage, or specialized processors without increasing the cabinet footprint. For cybersecurity compliance, a built-in fTPM 2.0 module secures cryptographic keys and supports measured boot. A single RS-232 port provides connectivity for legacy serial devices.
