The C6525-0000 industrial PC is produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. It functions as a compact control computer that runs PLC logic, motion control, and HMI software directly at the machine level, eliminating the need for separate controllers and panels. By consolidating processing, storage, and fieldbus interfaces in one enclosure, it streamlines the real-time coordination of drives, sensors, and supervisory networks throughout automated production cells.

The aluminum housing is 330 mm wide, only 82 mm deep, and 275 mm high, while the unit weighs 4.74 kg, allowing it to fit inside shallow cabinets without placing a heavy load on support rails. Internal electronics sit behind an IP20 partition, while the external shell carries an IP65 rating that protects against dust and water exposure. Four front USB sockets provide access for removable media and peripheral devices, and the port count of 4 supports connections using the USB 2.0 data standard at up to 480 Mbit/s. Two Ethernet jacks support 100/1000BASE-T links, enabling EtherCAT network connections and gigabit uplinks to plant networks. A single DB-9 connector provides one RS232 path for legacy sensors and other compatible serial devices. The adjacent DVI port can drive an external monitor for operator visualization and machine-status displays.

The PC remains operational at up to 95% noncondensing relative humidity, reducing the need for panel cooling in many climate-controlled installations. Conducted and radiated emissions meet the industrial limits of EN 61000-6-4, helping prevent electrical noise from interfering with nearby equipment and communication systems. Immunity conforms to EN 61000-6-2, which supports reliable operation when the computer is exposed to electrostatic discharge, electrical surges, and fast transients generated by contactors. These protections are particularly relevant in populated electrical enclosures where drives, switching devices, power supplies, and control electronics operate near one another.
