The C6240-1025 is an industrial PC enclosure developed by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. The housing accommodates standard ATX mainboards and expansion cards, allowing Windows or TwinCAT runtime environments to operate directly within control panels. By combining computing capability with fieldbus and motion interfaces, the unit manages sequencing, data logging, and visualization tasks that coordinate drives, sensors, and actuators across automated production cells.

The front panel measures 430 mm wide, the overall height is 170 mm, and the chassis depth is 274 mm. These dimensions allow the system to fit 19-inch racks or shelf rails without overhanging standard switchgear rows. With a mass of 12.3 kg, it can be supported on slide rails or direct mounting brackets without exceeding common load limits. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, providing protection against finger contact while requiring installation in a protected environment. Internal wiring to the five-pole power plug accepts conductors as small as 1.5 mm². The connector has five contacts for separating protective earth, supply, and auxiliary lines.

The motherboard routes video through one DisplayPort socket and two DVI outputs. Peripheral equipment connects through 4 USB ports and two Ethernet jacks that support the 10/100/1000BASE-T standard for gigabit data transmission. Legacy devices can connect through an RS-232 serial header. The enclosure can operate at a relative humidity of up to 95% under noncondensing conditions. During transport or operation, the assembly withstands a 5 G shock for 30 ms, helping protect solid-state drives and circuit boards against mechanical impact. Its interface arrangement provides connections for displays, networks, peripheral devices, and serial equipment within the same enclosure.
