Because this model uses an increased mass moment of inertia, it helps smooth velocity changes when coupled to high-inertia loads such as large rollers. A smooth shaft is provided, allowing clamp or shrink-fit couplings and avoiding keyway stress concentrations under cyclic torque.

The unit is delivered without a holding brake, so any static load must be secured by drive current or an external clamp during power loss. Internal copper density follows the J winding, giving a resistance and inductance profile suited for medium-voltage inverters while limiting peak current draw. Its housing corresponds to length code 2, which indicates the active stack depth and the continuous torque range within this frame size. The motor is supplied in the standard version, so no special coatings or seals are added beyond the default configuration. When the axis must remain fixed at standstill, the holding function has to come from the machine or the drive.
