The AM3121-0201-0001 is a permanent-magnet synchronous motor in Beckhoff's AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It is intended for axis control in industrial automation where accurate position and velocity regulation are required. Used with Beckhoff drive technology, it supports closed-loop motion in packaging systems, material-handling equipment, and assembly machines that rely on repeatable servo response. Its operating role is to convert commanded electrical input into controlled rotary motion so the connected axis can follow speed and position commands with consistent accuracy. The motor follows IEC mounting conventions, which helps it fit common machine layouts and standardized motor interfaces.

The motor uses a flange measuring 58 mm for direct mounting to compact gearheads or machine frames with limited installation space. Motion feedback is supplied by a two-pole resolver, which returns rotor position signals to the drive for stable control during acceleration, deceleration, and standstill. This unit is supplied in the standard version, so it does not include special coatings or alternate windings. The design centers on the motor, brake, and feedback elements without extra key slots, external fans, or added sensors. The compact layout is suited to enclosed axes, transfer units, and other installations where short motor depth and straightforward mechanical integration are important.
