AM3024-0D01 by Beckhoff

The AM3024-0D01 synchronous servo motor is produced by Beckhoff and belongs to the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Within automated stations it converts electrical energy into precisely regulated rotary motion for indexing tables, feed axes, or gantry drives under closed-loop control.

With a flange dimension of 58 mm, the motor mates with compact gearboxes and mounting plates while keeping the housing envelope small. A smooth shaft permits clamp couplings that minimize backlash and vibration. Rotor position is detected by a resolver, two-pole; because it is two-pole the controller receives one electrical cycle per mechanical revolution, simplifying commutation. Internal conductors follow Winding code D, setting resistance and inductance so rated current can be supplied without forced ventilation. Brake control requires 24 VDC, a safe low voltage that can be switched independently of the power stage to engage the electromagnetic brake during emergency stops.

The built-in 24 V holding brake locks the rotor when power is removed and supplies 2 Nm of static torque to secure suspended or vertical loads.
